I chose this rating for various reasons: I brought my Volkswagen in for an oil change. While awaiting my appointment over the 17 days, I noticed after a heavy rain, water was leaking inside my car from the passenger visor. My remote start and check engine light have also been on and off over the past few months. This was all explained at the time of drop off. I dropped my car off at 8:30 AM on Friday. The advisor, Andrew, was supposed to keep in contact. 3:00 PM rolls around and I receive a notification on my VW app that they have opened my car door and window, so hours after drop off, they finally started looking at my car knowing they close at 6:00 PM. I still have not received a text, a phone call, nothing at all. A little after 5:00 PM I become enraged and decided to call myself since I had still not heard anything. The woman that answered sounded very rushed and was trying to get me off the phone. I explained the situation so she told me to call Andrew at 8:00 AM on Saturday when they were informed at drop off I need my car TODAY. 8:00 AM on Saturday I call them to ask about my car, they said they are working on it now and won’t be ready till later, they close at 12:00 PM. At 11:00 AM I have not heard anything so I decide to catch a ride to the dealership to see what is the hold up. When I get there nobody is behind the desk so I wait a few minutes. Andrew comes in and tells me that he was been waiting on approval for various items like a $500 battery (which is criminal to expect someone to pay that much for a battery), air filters, windshield wipers, etc. I told him I sent that in over an hour ago and I’ll make it easy, none of that is approved. He said they had not done my oil change and he left at 12:00 PM on Friday which explains why my car was never even worked on in the first place. He said they still couldn’t find the leak and asked me again where it was leaking from, then he told me the oil change should take 20 minutes because I reminded him that yall close in less than an hour and I’m not waiting till Monday for my car. When I came back 35-40 minutes later because I still did not receive a text or phone call that my car was ready. They closed in about 5 minutes. I saw my car parked in the service bay looking like it was all ready to go. When I got inside, Andrew said I need a new battery immediately. So I asked well how serious is it? Do I have a month left? 3 months? How soon? He said “I would be surprised if it started tomorrow or even today.” I was startled by that comment because I have had zero prior issues with the battery. Then he proceeds to tell me that my oil change is $117, so I asked am I not under warranty anymore? And he informs me my warranty expired in May. I had no idea. So I pay him, get my keys, when I get to my car, IT WONT START. Right in front of Volkswagen dealership, my car will not turn over. I am beyond enraged at this point. Trying to scam me into buying a $500 battery? Andrew comes back out and jump starts my car. I leave. Thank you Walmart and Autozone for fixing my battery, and resetting my computer when Andrew told me I would have to come back and get my computer reset specifically from VW, which was a lie. Autozone does it for FREE! $250 I spent in total, thank you Walmart and Autozone! Save your money and go somewhere else for better service with the exact same items! I will never ever return here.
