Volkswagen Foreign National Programs
Foreign College Student Plan
Volkswagen Credit will extend credit to foreign students who are enrolled in colleges in the United States. This program applies to all foreign students and does not require a social security number or credit history.
Program Eligibility:
Customer must be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year accredited U.S. college or university pursuing one of the following degrees:
- Associate's
- Bachelor's
- Master's
- Doctoral
- Nursing degree (RN or LPN)
- Retail Financing
- Driver's Option
- Leasing
Eligible Vehicles:
- New and untitled Volkswagen vehicles
- Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen vehicles (retail financing only)
Program Requirements:
- Current I-20 form (Certificate of Eligibility for Non-Immigrant Student Status)
- Copies of three (3) months of banks statements or other documentation that shows stability of funds flow over time
- Must provide phone number of school's Registrar's Office
- Confirmation from school showing anticipated graduation date
- Documentation to verify your address and phone number
- Copy of U.S. visa with expiration date
Lease or loan maturities will be limited to the anticipated graduation date as stated on the I-20 form documentation provided by the applicant's school. Qualification under this program is subject to verification prior to approval. Social Security Number not required.
Foreign Business Professionals Program
The Foreign Business Professionals Program is available to foreign business professionals who are working in the United States on an employment visa1 and have a minimum base gross income of $45,000/year. Credit history is not required, but existing credit must be in good standing without previous derogatory credit.

Eligible Vehicles:
- New and untitled Volkswagen vehicles
- Certified Pre-Owned Volkswagen vehicles (retail financing only)
- Pre-Owned Volkswagen vehicles (retail financing only)
Program Requirements:
- United States Social Security card
- Letter from employer stating position, hire date, income, and length of stay2 in the U.S.
- Documentation to verify your address and phone number
- Copy of U.S. Visa with expiration date
- Contact information from two U.S. residents who can serve as personal references
1Applicants with Types A, E, G & NATO visas are not eligible for this program.
2An exception can be made if the applicant holds a TN-1 permit (free trade professional), only for Canadian citizens who live and work in the United States for up to one year at a time and have a renewable status for additional periods of one year each, with no ceiling on the total years a person with TN status can work in the United States.
